Simms Library
Welcome to Simms Library at Albuquerque Academy! Located midway between the East and West campuses, the library is a central learning hub. The collection includes books, magazines, DVDs, online databases and resources, a special collection, and more. Through the online catalog, students can search the library’s holdings and request materials.
In keeping with the Academy’s mission, the library seeks to provide a safe and welcoming space where students feel empowered to explore their interests and make discoveries. As active teaching faculty, the librarians strive to teach students the skills they need to be their best selves at Albuquerque Academy and in the broader world.
On May 3, 2001, the library was named in honor of Albert G. Simms II, M.D. and Barbara Young Simms. Their lives stand testament to the power of the spirit of giving coupled with visionary foresight. The Simms guided Albuquerque Academy through its formative years and were instrumental in fostering independent education throughout New Mexico. The library is a permanent reminder of their lifelong dedication to the education of children and their devotion to the highest ideals of learning.
Simms Library spaces and services are available to Albuquerque Academy students and their families, members of the Academy faculty and staff, alumni, and parents of alumni. Please call (505) 828-3200 for more information about Simms Library.
